We welcomed Lily Grace into this world on June 21, 2012 at 6:34 p.m. She weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 22 inches long.
Andy was able to deliver Lily with the assistance of Laurel, our midwife. He did a great job! He was a great labor coach as well as Cassie did not have any drugs for the delivery.
Lily had bruising on her face because of quick labor. At first we thought that she had low oxygenation, but we figured out that she was breathing great and doing well.
Her Grandma Pam was her first visitor at the hospital. She almost made it to Rochester on time.
The girls came to visit their new baby sister the next day. We had bought them a present for when they came to meet Lily. We bought "The Berenstain Bears Baby Makes Five" book, "Princess and the Frog" movie, nail polish, and their own camera to take pictures of Lily.
Our family of five. What a blessing to have 3 wonderful girls!!
Chloe loves to hold Lily. She is always saying "my lap" and wants to hold her.
Hannah "helped" give Lily her first bath.
Look closely and you will see just how much water Hannah used for the bath. Lily was quite wet and not too impressed by the whole experience.
Andy bought these shoes for Lily as a way to tell me that we were having a baby girl. They say "It's a girl" on one shoe and "Lily Grace" on the other shoe.
Lily is wearing her shirt that we had made to tell people that we were having a new baby.
The shirts say "Time for Zone Defense" on the top and "Kumpel Family 2012" on the bottom with a mom, dad, and three kids.
The girls with Cassie, her sister, and her mom.
Our small group stopped by to meet Lily at the hospital. Pictured are Karyn Grenz, Rachel Le, Sara Murphy, and myself. Jill Schrandt is also in our small group but was not able to be there. The husband counterparts all came as well, but they did not want their pictures taken.
