Small group picnic

Our small group had a get together at IBM park with another small group.
Laurie, Me, Hannah, Cindy, and Annlia

Josef, Thomas, Adriella, and Hannah

Our little climber is getting more and more adventurous.

See Mom and Dad I can do it on my own now.

She absolutely loved going down the slide!!

I love this picture of Thomas running.

Hannah's new buddy, Luke

Joe is figuring out how to use the Chuck it for Tyson.

Wow, that went far.

August update

I just had to share some of the many faces of Hannah. She is such an animated little girl. Mostly she is very happy, but sometimes she has her moments. Fortunately the unhappy moments are usually very brief.

"Girl on the go"

"So sad"

"But mom . . . "

"I guess that I am okay"

Hannah loves to read books. She has started flipping through books all the time now on her own.

Here is her new found interest. She is obsessed over the potty chair. She was at day care one day and she sat on their potty chair to go poop. We thought that it was just a random event, but the next day that she was there, she did the same thing. I don't think that we are quite ready for potty training, but she is starting to get it.

She likes to put the potty seat on the toilet. You can't see in the picture, but she took the potty seat from the other chair and put it in the toilet first and then put the Dora one over it.

Safety first

We bought a new bike trailer/jogging stroller to take Hannah out in. We thought that she needed to wear a helmet, but it is nearly impossible to find a small enough helmet for a one year old. I guess most one year olds are not riding a bike :) We bought this one, but it is too big, so our attempt at safety has failed because Hannah does not wear a helmet now. She does however love being in the trailer.

Hannah's first real camping trip

We decided that we were going to go camping this summer. We usually go to the North Shore camping every year, but we decided that we would go a little closer since this was Hannah's first real camping trip. We ended up going to La Crosse, WI. It was nice to have a shorter drive and to be able to set up in the daylight.
Hannah absolutely loved camping. She loved being able to spend so much time outside. There were two parks at the campgrounds, so she was able to swing and go down the slide a lot. There was also a beachfront, where Daddy and Hannah went swimming. It was a little too cold for me.

Within only a few minutes of being there, Hannah figured out how to climb up in the camping chairs. It was nice because she stayed still for a little while so we could set up the tent.

Here is our new tent. We absolutely love it!! We can stand up in the center and there is a ton of room. Plus, it rained on Friday night and none of our things got wet. It was the first time that has happened.

We bought a new camping chair that was Hannah's size and a new football. Hannah loves the football!

We went to Grandad Bluff in La Crosse. You can see Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin from the outlook point.

Hannah wanted to help take pictures.

Here we are at the Children's Museum. Hannah loved it. There were exhibits for kids of all ages. There was one point that I could not find Andy and he was playing with a bunch of the kids at one of the exhibits.

Playing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" on pipes, using a flip flop.
